Re: solid gold yes or no

Solid Gold is nice, but very heavy on the grain. It's more important to feed a meat-based food. It is also substantially lower in fat.

Don't switch.

Re: solid gold yes or no

My mom feeds Solid Gold on recommendation from her sister, who has border collies. She has a list of supplements that my aunt gave her also.

Re: solid gold yes or no

I feed my dogs Canidae for a few years now, and think it is great for their coat. I do supplement cooked beef and chicken liver, with brown rice. There was a period when my Canidae imports dried out, and I switch to Solid Gold, without much problem. I switch back to Canidae because it is less expensive over in my country.

Re: solid gold yes or no

No need to switch foods if he's doing well on it. What is your reason for wanting to switch? With SOME dogs too many ingredients isn't a good thing and though they say you should feed Solid Golds supplements, there's no need too. I fed Innova, also a good food, but with alot of ingredients and my boy started to have chronic ear infections so I had him allergy tested and he's allergic to almost every ingredient in Innova so I say stay on Canidae if you're getting good results :D.
