| Innova,Improved coat condition I was feeding my 12 month old puppy Eukanuba Large Breed Puppy and I'm in the process of switching to Innova Adult food. It's a cup of each for now(Twice per day) intell I finish with the Eukanuba. I've noticed in a week time that his coat is getting softer and softer. The great thing about Innova is the K/Cup calorie is somthing like 550 per, Granted that is cost me about 45 doller's per bag with shipping add, It's not cheap stuff but the old saying is you get what you pay for. I'm still thinking about Caniada pet food's because it's a touch cheaper and has less ingredint's. Is it common for the coat to improve in this short of time? or is it a figment of my imagination, I would love to use the BARF diet but I don't have the cooking ability or the time, lol, Thank's Hogan and Tj:D |

| I have been doing BARF for awhile now and the time is minimal and really well spent. I will admit at first it seems daunting, but after a week or so I only spend about 15 minutes a week preparing food. The hardest thing is remembering to pull stuff out of the freezer to thaw. Give it a trail for about a month, you will notice the benefits to your dog and will never look back. Worst case if it is still to much, then you can go back to Innova or Canidae, which is the next best thing to RAW. Finanically I have found raw to be lower in cost than the Innova I was feeding. The key is to find a good source of meat, a local butcher or provisions supplier should be able to help. Or look at Yahoo groups for a RAW feeding ring.

| It takes 3 to 4 weeks to see any texture change resulting from diet in a dogs coat. If the coat was dry before, you may be noticing more oils being sent to the coat but Eukanuba isn't a dry type food so I don't think it is that. I really don't understand your comment about your cooking ability? I am Extremely cooking chalenged and I feed a raw diet for a little over a year now. There is no cooking, that's why we call it raw. :) |

| Innova is a good food Hi, I feed Innova too, actually many of us do here on the forum. If it works for you stick with it. There's a whole lot more to feeding BARF then one thinks, just be careful and know what you're doing if you decide to go that route. As I said I feed Innova but I also give raw ground beef, that's an option for you too:D . Judy |

| I have been feeding Innova for years now. Both my dogs have a great coat and lots of energy. We saw a real improvement in Molly's (1 yo chocolate lab) coat within 2 weeks after we adopter her from a shelter. Linda |

| Innova is a great food, we fed it for quite some time and the dogs loved it and did well on it. re: BARF.........it DOES take time, especially when you are feeding multiple dogs. I have been using BRAVO raw food for several years now with good success. Dogs get either raw or kibble at any given meal.
