Canidae allergy?? - switch to Evolve maybe?

OK, I know TJ has been on Canidae for about a month before I got him, and I've had him for a week and a bit. My question is this:

I've noticed the following symptoms..
1) A fair amount of white eye boogers
1a) Red eyes.
2) Stinky burps AND farts. And frequent farts..
3) Loose stools.

This leads me to think that hey may be somewhat allergic to the Canidae.

What are your thoughts on this? Also, if I was to move him to another kibble, would Evolve be something equivalent to Canidae? I haven't seen much about it, but it looks like a quality product

http://www.evolvepet.com/

Thanks!

If a dog has trouble with Canidae, it's often the turkey. I'm a big fan of Evolve, we used it before Canidae. We switched because I feed multiple dogs, and one couldn't tolerate the dairy products. If I were you I'd try it.

I have a dog that won't eat Canidae. I have her on Innova and she does real well on it. Evolve does look like a good food, I noticed the first 2 incredients are meat or meat meal, which is very good. I would think it would be worth your while to gradually switch over to the Evolve.

Sparkle didn't do well on Canidae either. We switched to Solid Gold Hundenflocken. She's been much better on that.

first few ingredients are:
Lamb, Chicken Meal, Brown Rice, Brewers Rice, Chicken Fat
(preserved with mixed tocopherols with rosemary extract and citric acid), Rice Bran,
Tomato Pomace, Beet Pulp,

To be honest I am not impressed, ingrediends number 2,3 and 5 are rice or rice byproducts, add them up together and the rice will probably be your top ingrediend (kinda of marketing I really don't like). Tomato pace and beet pulp aren't top quality either, then reading down the list it seems like one would need a science degree in chemistry to understand it, doesn't seem very natural to me.
IMO try something else, perhaps a kibble with less ingredients would sit better with TJ.

Peter, while in principle I agree with you about the ingredients, Evolve did perform well with my rottweilers....it was one of my beagles that had trouble with it.

I would look about for something better as well, but if this is readily available, Stubby, I'd certainly give it a try.

If you think your dog is allergic to Canidea, I would switch to California Lamb & Rice also. It's designed for the allergic dogs. I want to say only 4 ingrediance.
