| How much should a puppy gain per week? Curious as to what is a good weight for a Rott puppy to gain each week. I hear people talking about how there rotties would gain @5lbs per week as young pups. Mine has gain 5lbs in the past 2 weeks. He is 9 weeks and weighs about 20 or 21lbs, Is he eating enough? Or are the others growing to fast? |

| At one point Julius was gaining anywhere from 1-2 lbs. a week. Now he's slowed down a bit at 10 months....but he's still gaining slowly. Brooke

| Your pup is at a great weight for his age. Most male pups will gain anywhere between 9-11 lbs per month. Some a bit more, some a bit less. It all depends on his genetics. Don't worry, he is doing fine.

| You shouldn't be concerned on a week by week basis, that's too obsessive. Also different pups mature in different ways. One pup may put on more weight at 3 months of age while another would put it on at 4 months. Like Sharon said, your pup is doing fine. |
