| Unending Excessive Shedding Does anyone else have a problem with excessive shedding? Our Rottie is eleven months old. She's inside most of the time and her shedding is terrible. Can the groomer clip down her coat? :p |

| No, don't have her coat clipped. It is not ment to be cut. We're all seeing the same thing when it comes to them shedding. |

| A good grooming (basically bathing and brushing) will remove alot of excess hair, and a good premium food diet and weekly brushing will keep shedding to a minimum. I have five dogs here and we have tumbleweeds of hair in the kitchen! All of the dogs got bathed a few weeks ago and I got enough hair off of the dogs to stuff a small pillow (if I wanted to!). On the other hand...we have a robin's nest in our arbor and I peeked and noticed it is lined with a nice fluffy layer of dog hair... If you clip the coat, you remove the hairs that protect the skin from sunburn...a long coated rottie can get clipped but not shorter than a standard rottie coat. |

| That happened to Blaze when she was a bit younger. Her fur came out by the fistful. My vet said not to worry if it came out all over and there were no bald spots. Well, he was dead on for a change ;) She was just losing her puppy fur and now she's very sleek (I mean her fur:( ).
