grooming Millie

I am used to long haired dogs so I am not sure what kind of brush to use for Millie - my one year old rescued rottie girl. She does not like the brushes I had for my golden and collie. I looked for soft brushes at the store, but they had either the metal or plastic bristles. These seem harsh for short haired dogs.
I would like her grooming time to be special for her.

In the horse section of PetSmart they have some rubber brushes that are made for both dogs and horses. It is a soft rubber and the bristles are about 3/8ths inch tapering down to 1/8 inch, about ½ inch apart, and the sides are shaped to fit your hand. It is really excellent for removing loose hair and short hair dogs really love it. I even use it to wash her with.
