Quantum Herbal Flea and Tick Repellent

I had responded to another thread about this but thought I would start a new for everyone to read.

I have read a lot of threads from people who don't like to use frontline, advantage, advantix etc. but are having a problems/concerns with fleas and ticks.

Our vet told us about this product and I swear by it. We did use advantage for a bit, he got fleas from the neighbor's dog in January. Since it was winter time I wasn't using the quantum spray:( but I found that it was leaving a red mark at the site of contact on Payton's back so we went back to Quantum. Anyway to start you spray the their coat once a day for 4 day straight (combing/brushing through the cost well) After that initial "treatment" use once a week or as needed. It suggests that if you are going to go hiking/walking in fields or wooded areas to spray it on at least 20 minutes prior. It smells great it works even better.

Payton had a tick early in the season last year, I hadn't realized that tick season in the south started so early, since I started using the spray I haven't seen a one.

For those human hikers and trail riders you can use it on yourself too:D

Just to give you an idea I bought an 8oz. bottle last April and I still have about a quarter of a bottle left.

...............which is a good thing considering how far you moved from them!!!:D

You got that at Atrium, right? I'm going to take the old man there in a few weeks, so I might check it out while I'm there.

Hey Mary!

Yep that's exactly where I got it. I love that place they are so nice.

And yes thank goodness we have moved from the apt. Although Payton is staying with Thor for a week at the end of July, I may use the Advantage before he goes. That and I gave our friends a bottle of the spray before we left :D

Re: Quantum Herbal Flea and Tick Repellent

Thanks for the review.

I just pulled a whopper tick off Reba today and another small one too.

I have tried those spot on products but never felt comfortable about the ingredients. My kids are always all over the dog.

I ordered some this afternoon.

The spot remedies never worked for me either. Haven't heard of this one. The only effective thing I've found are the Preventic collars. Not one tick since then!

Aw c'mon Groupie! Kits/Wa is not a long drive from the states! 'Sides, these days, most anything can be ordered in. Their website indicates that they'll ship outside the states...

Ditto here.

We actually tried the stuff listed above & Julius still got Lyme Disease. I hate putting chemicals on him as well but they serve their purpose. I haven't found a tick since putting a Preventic on him either, Gretchen which is VERRRYYY good news!
