| Chicken Soup dog food Someone mentioned this dog food a few weeks ago, and it seems good. I just found it at a store this week, at an excellent price, $30 for a 35lb bag. I'd say the ingredients rival Innova but at a far better price (Innova is $40 for 33lb). Chicken Soup Dog Food Just wondered if others knew anything about it.

| Aside from being what "I" consider a low cal food (anything less than 400 Kcal/cup is a diet food for my dogs) it has the same if not moreso potential issues as Innova does. That huge multi protien list. It has almost every protien source available. Chicken, duck, turkey, salmon, egg etc.. plus multiple grain/carbohydrate sources. This can cause problems with dogs that have sensitivities (often hidden ) to certain ingredients or combinations of ingredients. My dogs did poorly on Innova stool wise (cowpies on the amount of food that kept weight on, normal stools if I fed them less but then they lost weight) plus nasty gas, they would likely do even worse on this food :( So far Healthwise chicken and oatmeal works the best as far as kibbles go. I've been testing out different brands of premade raw for when I have pups again. I normally make my own ground raw mix for pups that I feed in conjunction with Healthwise kibble to get the best of both worlds, but it is so very time consuming. So far the hands down winner in the "preprepared just add a few supplements raw" category is Bravo. Great company, great product :)

| I picked up one of the $1.99 try me bags. I got the senior one to put in the kong for my older girl. She seems to like it. The prices is about the same as Canadae where I buy. I am by far a food expert, but I have had excellent results with Innova. Kinda makes me nervious to change. But the price is better.

| Well if I could spell I might sound smarter eh? Protein see I CAN spell it..... ! Pre packaged raw.. I've had samples of Farmore, Steve's, Ultimate diet, Aunt Jenis , Bravo and Omas. Still like the Bravo best, better company and packaging than Omas. Gonna see about getting a freezer at the kenneland buy 250 lbs of it LOL Kibble Yes if your dog has a poor reaction to Canidae, Wellness or Innova. It will likely do the same on the Chicken soup food. Healthwise is a simpler food and California Natural is even simpler still. Simple meaning less digestively challenging. Kibbles Single protein (or two maximum) and 1-2 carb/grain sources are best for many dogs Only you the owner will know though, usually from gas or sloppy poop experiences :(

| I just bought a bag of the 'try me' size too and am impressed with the ingredients. I dont know if it will be cheaper then Canidae which i feed now but i have to see the reaction of my dogs first.
