| Nutro Large Breed My vet said about 6 months ago that Cain had to lose about 10 pounds to be optimum weight. Just after that, Bear (puppy) came to live with us. Obvious that Bear was going to be a large breed, I changed their food from Nutro Lamb & Rice to Nutro Large Breed. We went to have our "fingernails done" yesterday, and Cain has lost 14 pounds! I'm so thrilled, now he's fit. I know the activity with the new pup had a lot to do with his losing weight, but I also think the new food had an impact. I don't read ingredient lists, but is it possible that the large breed recipe has fewer calories? http://websmileys.bei.t-online.de/tiere95.gif

| It may have, as a way to help control growth. But I know Nutro also has a Large Breed Weight Management food. Our Lab bitch has been on it and lost 30 lbs! Through carefully controlled feeding and vet supervision, of course.....she's hypothyroid. |

| We feed Brodie Nutro Large Breed as well. He has done very well on it. We always get compliments on his shiney coat and how trim he is. We haven't weighted him in awhile, but he is somewhere in the neighborhood of 95-100# and stands between 27-28in at the shoulder.
