| is it safe i have a big container with a divider down the middle that i store my dog food in zeus's on one side and lexus's on the other. it is kind of unattractive so i leave it on my back porch. now this morning it is 27 degrees outside so my question is does the cold temps effect to foor in any way shape or form. i really dont want to bring it inside because of the size and unattractive quality it brings. i see people who keep their dog food in trash cans outside all year round. i think i worry more about the heat than the cold but i could be wrong.

| The cold won't hurt it. As long as it doesn't get wet everyhing should be ok. Watch for condensation, the cold/warm days can produce, as it might mold. Heat could diffinatly cause a problem as it will make the fats to go rancid. Ideal is a constant cool temp.

| The additional problem I see is that outside food storage tends to attract bugs, ants, and critters, even the ones that seem to be fairly well sealed. |
