Soaking puppy food?

Hi all I have been soaking my puppys dry food in water and am unsure when I should just let him have it dry???

He is almost 7 weeks old:)

I personally never fed any food plain dry. Imagine trying to choke that dry stuff down??

I don't use dog food anyway, but it's not a bad idea to continue to serve it wet with either water, or plain yoghurt, or maybe an egg or two now and then.

If you are using food formulated for a puppy, I recommend you get a good adult food and use that instead. Puppies dont' need that extra protein, and it can be harmful later on by encouraging growth that is too rapid.

Good luck with your pup!

I wet my four year old's food with water. Sometimes, he gets eggs on top of it.

I don't like the idea of him gulping down dry food.

He also gets other things besides just dog food. I am not set on on type of feeding.

When you say eggs do you mean cooked or raw?
I have never heard of feeding a dog eggs before?

I have Seven on Performatrin large breed puppy food.
The lady at the pet value recommended it.

As I said, I don't use any dog food. I have not for a very long time. I feed my dogs eggs both raw and cooked. If you would like to see what else I feed them, you can visit my website on diet HERE

or you can see a list of exactly what I feed HERE.

I still don't recommend puppy food, not even the ones formulated for large breed dogs, personally.
