stupid hair question

Hi Guys, Awhile back I posted a question about light hair on rommel's rear legs, well here's the supid question when does this hair begin to change? He has really light hair under his black top coat sometimes it looks light tan sometimes white. Some of it sticks out on the inside of his leg. Will this graduallly change or is he going to have a white bottom all his life? He also has some on the outside circles of his butterfly under his rectum. Thanks for listening to me and for any advice you can give. You guys are really wonderful with all your information! By the way he is 4 months old.

In my experience, it will stay light in those areas. I have a bitch with light markings to start with and she has a white belly and white fringes on her hind legs. My youngest rott, 15 months has white in his fringes and what my husband calls his "butt swirls". I have stopped worrying about them years ago.
