Rate this food for me

I was shopping on Waggin'Tails and came across a food they have on sale called "Health Food for Dogs". It costs $28.49 for a 35# bag. I'll list the ingredients:

Ingredients:
Poultry Meal (Chicken and Turkey Meal), Brown Rice, Ground Rice, Lamb Meal, Oatmeal, Chicken Fat, Dehydrated Alfalfa Meal, Fish Meal, Flax Seed, Natural Flavors, Sunflower Oil, Lecithin, Brewers Dried Yeast, Rosemary Extract, Sage Extract, , Yucca Schidigera Extract, Papain, plus essential vitamins and minerals.

What do you think of this food as compared to Canidae, Pinnacle and California Natural?

not bad at all, canidae has more ingredients but the ingredients here are good quality and because the list is pretty short it may be good for some dogs with some allergies (although 2 types of meat may make it more difficult).
It's hard to say what's better, it depends on the particular dog. I don't recall what ingredients are in california natural or pinnacle so I can't comment.

I went ahead and added a 4lb. bag of it to my order just to try. Rajah and Brandi like Canidae, but they seem to like Pinnacle better. I've just been alternating those two for a little variety. I'm thinking of adding California Natural and Innova in for variety also. Thanks for the replies.

IMO if they do well on it and like it, there is no need mess with it. Ain't broken don't fix it.:)
To add variety I would simply add things like yogurt, canned fish, meat etc.

I agree with Homer and Homer :)... no need to mix up the kibble... stick to one kind once you find the one that works for you. If you are feeding a variety and something goes wrong (loose stools, itchy skin, etc.) it will be hard to determine which of the kibble is causing the problem.

I know what you two are saying, but we've been alternating the Pinnacle and Canidae for a while now so I think I know they are fine on those. When I start a new one I will know that it's the problem if they get sick. Thanks for caring.
