Wellness no more!

My treasured feed shop that i get my Wellness from is closing its doors. :( I convinced my fiance to order some Canidae online for our up coming trips. I'm happy I get to try it finally, but I'm so upset that another little business is closing its doors b/c not enough people know about the great products they carry. The big guys won again. I should be getting my canidae &felidae tomorrow. Hopefully, my gang will like it as much as Wellness. My cat...I'm kinda worried about. i don't know if she'll take to eating kitty kibble.

Why not just order the Wellness if you really want to stay with it?

That's what we planned on doing in the future. But since we would have to order online just like the Canidae, we decided to just give canidae a try. I started feeding Wellness when on trips b/c we couldn't find the canidae. So, I'm happy I'll get to try it but I'm really disappointed because the only place around here that carried any good food is out of business so I'll have to order online from now on or drive to Nashville. I wouldn't mind the drive but since this time we had such short notice online was easier. The canidae was supposed to be delivered today but now won't be delivered until tuesday (5/28). I'm so unhappy with UPS right now I could scream. The food made it from Texas to here in less than 14 hours but now that its less than 20 miles away it'll take 4 days to get it here. I asked if I could go and pick it up fromt here shipping center and the customer service rep told me no, it wouldn't be available for pick up b/c it was still on the truck and that's where it would stay. So now my dog food and cat food will be sitting in a sweltering truck for 4 days. Boy did I send them a flaming email. And to think I had to pay almost $25 in shipping charges to not even get my package! I'm not surprised though, UPS in my area is always lacking in service. I wish I would have just made the drive to Nashville. 30 minutes each way is better than food sitting in a hot truck in the sun for 4 days.

Sorry to hear that. So, it's UPS' fault though and not the pet store's fault, right? I wonder if there is something you can do about that.
Where did you order from? I've ordered from petfooddirect, wagginpet and adamspetsupplies so far. I think petfooddirect usually has the best prices because they always send coupons via email for 20% off everything. I like adamspetsupplies the best for service though. They pack everything so nicely and even throw in free items. The first time I ordered from adams... they charged my account but didn't ship my order out for almost a week so I emailed them and they were very apologetic and I asked that since it hadn't shipped could I add another bag of food to it. I think I added a 15lb bag of Wellness which costs %17.99 and she said that was fine. When I got the package 3 days later they didn't even charge me for the Wellness and they gave me free S&H and free Canidae treats. They're great, but they aren't the cheapest one out there.

This definately a UPS thing, not the store's. They replied to my email with the basic excuses. I sent them another flamer in response to that. There is still no reason why I shouldn't have been able to go and pick up my food from the UPS center. Still fuming I think there is a conspiracy to keep my dogs from eating Canidae! lmao :D
