| Frontline Dosage I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions regarding the proper dosage and frequency of use for Frontline (top spot) Flea and Tick.
After my male pup, who is now 7 months old and approximately 78 lbs., completed his 6 month comprehensive exam at the vet, they told me it wasn't necessary to bring him in every month for a checkup unless there were any problems.
I usually would pick up his Heartguard Plus and Frontline Flea and Tick ointment on my way out after his regular checkups. I asked the Vet Tech if I had to bring him in to be weighed in order to receive the proper dosage or if I could simply "guesstimate" and pick them up whenever I was running an errand. She gave me a 6 month supply of Heartguard Plus [51-100 lbs.] and only one dose of Frontline Flea and Tick. She then informed me that one dose of Frontline is supposed to allow for protection of fleas and ticks for at least 3 months.
Is this correct? I can't find anything on the Frontline website to refute or support this practice. I had always applied his ointment once a month.
Also, I'd like investigate ordering the Heartworm and Flea and Tick medicine online to save money. Has anyone out there had experience with this method?
Thanks,
