need help with BARF

OK, I must be dumb, but I need some confirmation on my math skills. I've read 4 pages back on barf and I find 3% of body weight/day for pups. Molly is 5 to 6 pounds(9 weeks), which is 80 ounces for 5Lbs.(My scale isn't that great or I would be more precise on her wt.) 3% of 80 is 2.4 ounces. One large chicken neck weighs 2 ounces. Am I really only supposed to feed 1 or 2 chicken necks per day? Dr B says to let them feed for 10 minutes and then take away anything else. He also says to always leave them just a little bit hungry to keep 'em lean. She can eat 2 necks at each meal!!! All help is appreciated.:D

Somewhere in the back of my mind I remember reading somewhere that lil pups like that should eat approx 10% of it's body weight, but don't quote me on that. 3% seems little low since the general guidance (or starting point) for an average adult would be approx 2%.
Try to post this question on the yahoo barf group, you will sure get more answers there.

I believe it is 10% of their body weight at 8 weeks.
After a time you can switch to 2-3% of their target adult body weight. Start with 2% and move up if necessary.

We've been BARFing for 3 yrs and I have his books. He seems to be referring to dogs that are "real outside dogs". As you go through his books you'll realize that. I f ound it extremely difficult to deal with a lean, hungry growing puppy. I used the appearance of my dogs as my guide. Some people may not agree with that but when we fed kibble I did the same thing. Each dog gets a different amt. depending on their activity level and appearence. One female eats twice as much as the others and gets more fat because she is hyper and has a higher need. Probably the Barf website suggested by HomerHomer would be more helpful if you want exacts.
