| Re: Started with chicken now what? Thank you. I have been leaving the skin on and now I'm wondering if I am feeding too much muscle (legs and thighs?) He has very runny poo. He eats bones and all. Do I need to add something else to frim up his poo? I have now feed him wings, legs, thighs, necks (turkey and chicken) gizzers, livers, and hearts, and one meal of ground beef. He won't eat chincken liver or heart. He gets about a pound of food at each feeding. For one week now twice a day he has been eatting the raw diet and not sick once His coat is shiny and soft, and his energy level has gone through the ceiling. He is such a different dog now. I know it has only been a week but I am so impressed!Thank you all so much, Dawn and Guinness |

ground beef (organic and veggie fed) with a 7% or less ground daily and fresh is always a good thing. since all they do is take shoulder clod and grind it up. Last edited by AndOne707; 09-06-2008 at 05:51 AM. |

| Re: Started with chicken now what? He has been having the runny stools after eatting chicken. 2 legs and a thigh or 2 thighs and a leg. Last night he had a thigh, 2 legs, 2 wings, chicken neck, which all of that he ate, there was also a chicken heart in there but he won't eat it. So the rest of the night and earily this morning he had runny stool. So this morning I gave him a chicken breast, a wing and a neck. Now I will wait. Dawn & Guinness |

| Re: Started with chicken now what? If he is having loose stools it may be due to too much food. He had quite the dinner from your description! Also, you may want to occasionally remove the skin on the leg quarters. Animal fat is good for the dog, however, it can also add to your dogs waistline! ![]() Here is some good info on feeding raw, along with links to additional info. Perhaps it will answer some of your questions and concerns. I have been feeding raw for 8 yrs. It certainly does not make me a canine nutritionist, yet I do have the experience of raising a pup to adulthood on fresh foods. Variety is essential to this diet. Do your boy and yourself a huge favor, and read and learn. We will be here to help you sort it out! Best wishes, kathy Raw Diet | B-Naturals.Com Newsletter |

Some will eat the whole egg. Won't know until you try it. I've never given here any cooked food (except rice), so I'm not sure about the boiled egg. |

| Re: Started with chicken now what? The eggshell is almost entirely calcium carbonate (2 grams per shell) and being a mineral, it is not altered in any way by cooking. I give my dog whole hard boiled eggs for a treat, shell and all. |
