Possible German Import?

Hello. I'm looking for a resource (listing, data bank type resource) that may have the names of breeders in Germany. I ask because I got an email from a shelter that they have an owner surrender, supposed to be a German import, that came to them yesterday. The owner dropped off his papers also which have the name of the breeder on them so I thought I'd do a little research. I apologize in advance if this is in the incorrect forum.

Re: Possible German Import?

Have you tried doing a Google search on the breeders name or kennel name ?

Re: Possible German Import?

they SHOULD find away to contact the breeder. if it was a COE breeder, they WILL want their dog back. and will pay for the shipping...I say first and formest contact the breeder. Via email or phone

Re: Possible German Import?

I wasn't even thinking of a direct search but did so after reading the post. I was able to find the information. The breeder and kennel are not in Germany, but in Yugoslavia. There are other dogs of the kennel here in the US. I can provide that information to the shelter. I'm not sure what they will do with it.

Re: Possible German Import?

And from a "layman's" perspective...quite impressive.

I passed the information on to the shelter.

Re: Possible German Import?

Did they give you any clue as to why the dog was surrendered? Is there a temperament problem of some sort involved?
