| The BH is a two part test. The first part is a Sch I routine without the retrieve. This includes heeling on and off lead, a sit stay out of motion, a down stay out of motion, a recall, and a long down under distraction. The Second part is a temperament test that includes traffic conditions: The dog is heeled as a car, bicycle, and a jogger pass to and fro. The dog is approached by the judge while is a down or sit stay. The dog is left alone tied to a pole as a strange dog pass by ( neutral dogs are used as a demo dogs). The dog is approached by a group of people while tied to the pole while the owner is out of sight. All of these exercises are temperament test to make sure that the dog does not show signs of aggression or being to timid both of which are poor temperaments. The BH is a pass or fail, and is required before a dog can compete for a Sch I. |

| Orville, Are you talking about all countries? The BH (we call it traffic test) is not a necessity to compete SchH 1 in Denmark. There is no demand. There had been talks about this for some years ago, but the rule hasn’t been change yet. To compete in FH you have to pass BH or SchH 1 |
