Importing Show Rotty puppy From Australia to Singapore

Hi I am looking or a good show quality rotty to be show in Singapore. As I have been trying to search for a ood quality thru the web, I heard from lots of people that lots of them are not honest or rather they will choose to swap yr puppies and send a lousier pup instead. I have seen quite a few of rottweilers in Singapore even those imported from Australia but I think it is not up to the show standard and there aren't many petshop import rotty in Singapore. So I would like to know if there is any good recommended breeder that i can just choose my puppyonline? How can I assure that the certificate are genuine?What are the procedures of importing them from Australia. Thanks.

Advice on how to import a quality puppy would be good, breeder names or discussions of breeders would not be good.

Is there a particular reason you want a pup from Australia vs any other country? Are you looking for a particular bloodline?

Singapore has quarantine rules on imported dogs from countries they consider do not have sound rabies control. Dogs imported from countries with strict quarantine laws, like Australia, England, etc. do not have to go through the 1-month quarantine in Singapore.

Ericyen, if you find a responsible ethical breeder in Australia (or anywhere else), you have to, first, win his/her trust -- establish a good relationship. It's better if you visit the breeder and see the dogs yourself. Then tell the breeder your exact requirements.

I judged a Rottweiler Sieger show in Korea last Nov. They have excellent dogs there. Some of their breeding stock are Germany's outstanding producers. In fact, they have acquired some of Germany's top stud dogs.

That's another option for finding a good puppy. However, if you acquire a puppy from Korea, it will have to go through the 1 month quarantine.
