Talking Working class

Have just heard that FCI excluded any working title as a pre quesite for an International Champion re Rottweiler Group. Does anyone know what happened regarding the working class ? What are the titles the dog needs to have to be shown in this class ? Tks for yr help.

Re: Working class

Good evening,

To enter a dog in the working class it must have achieved the title of an IPO certificate or VPG certificate, Ringsport, CQN test, or Police dog certificate.
When a dog is entered for the working class I always have to sent in together with the entry form the written statement of, in my case the Dutch Kennel Club, that the entered dog has achieved a working title and he/she is therefor allowed to be entered in the working class. If I forget to sent this form when I sent in the entry form the dog will automatically be transfered to open class.

If you have any further questions go to the website of the FCI and sent them an e-mail.

sincerely,

Re: Working class

For what it is worth......

When the Rottweiler was found on the many lists of "dangerous dogs" in Germany during the fury a couple of years ago, there was discussion about removing the protection phrase from the breeding suitability test because it was thought that this might contribute to the breed's public perception as being dangerous. As things have become more sensible there, I have heard no more about this.

Rgds,
Annie
whatever your reasons to try to enter a dog that doesnt have working titles or to try to find a venue that will enter a dog in the working class at a show is a sham just because rotts are are in the working group doesnt mean they are workers by far the majority of them are not. if they allow this it will do nothing more than to further water down the breed

Re: Working class

The considerations I was speaking of had nothing to do with having a working class that took dogs without working titles. That was not under consideration at all.

BTW, the IFR competition for 2005 that will be held in Fla, is a working competion only. There is no beauty competition.

Rgds,
Annie
Madam,
if you need information about International titles and the entry of a dog at a confirmation show, CAC, CACIB you need to contact the FCI.
the IFR has nothing to do with this.
Or you contact the AKC and I do assume they can provide you too with all the information you need.

sincerely,
