Breed standards for other registries?

I've seen several threads recently about some of the other registries (such as UKC). Does the UKC have it's own breed standard for rotts? I did a search online for their rott standard, but didn't find it, but maybe I just didn't look in the right place.

Re: Breed standards for other registries?

They use the standards of the country they are in. The off registries do not have their own standards, they simply do registration. They are not equipped to create standards and simply offer a registration for those who do not qualify for the national registration body of record.

Re: Breed standards for other registries?

The UKC referred to in some of the messages here is the United Kennel Club located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It is the 2nd largest registery. Please go here United Kennel Club to find out more about it. It is a very legit registery unlike Universal Kennel Club, and others that are trying to mimic their acronym. I have been showing exclusively UKC for about 6 years now and really enjoy the organization. They promote the "Total Dog" meaning one that can go in the conformation ring and win and still go out and work.

Just thought I'd help clear things up a little bit.

Here's a description I found. Hope it's helpful. I have friends who show their Chinooks and Am. Bulldogs. Neither breed is AKC accepted yet. They show UKC instead. They shows are a bit more relaxed and they are not allowed to use bait. Otherwise, shows are similar.
