I'm taking a wild shot here.

I'm looking for any information from Rottweiler owners or breeders in Saskatoon.

I'm trying to find information on a Female Rottweiler that I fostered late August 2003.

The only information I have.

Name: Heidi

Believed to be born approx. Feb 15, 2003 - March 15. 2003 in Saskatoon.

Possible first owner gave her up at age 3 months.

Second owner kept her from mid June until I obtained her August 22nd here in Calgary. Second owner had another Rottweiler named Brandi.

I'm hoping someone maybe owns a littermate or knows of the breeder. I'm simply looking for back ground information, parents, birth date, etc.

Did you foster the pup through a rescue organization?

No it wasn't an organized foster situation, more along the lines I got a call from someone that knows I have rotties, saying I know someone, who got a rott from someone else and they can't keep her, can you find a home for her. Of course I can never say no. :)

Unfortunately because these people do not have the contact information from the first home, there is no exact birthdate. Not a huge deal, just would be nice to know.

LOL... so, she has a home. What a sneaky grrrrl.... :)

I just figured if you got her from a rescue, that'd be the place to start. I'm out of suggestions, unless you can backtrack throught the folks you got her from.

If all else fails, you can do what I did with my shelter cats, and make a birthday up, which ultimately gives me an excuse to celebrate. ;)

I am in the same predicament as you, Rottiegirl. The pound says Brodie is six, and from what I see of him, I think he is around two. I am going to make his birthday December the first, since that was his adoption day. I also think he is around two, so I guess he is two.

You probably won't find the breeder, since Saskatoon is a big city. Pick a day, any day, and I am sure Heidi won't mind at all.

I am not sure what is happening here, as I replied to this post yesterday and it was showing up on the forum and this morning it is gone

Anyway, rottiegirl please contact me privately at ((Email deleted, please do not post emails on forum, thanks, Brutus))as I believe I may know where this little girl came from. There was a litter born in Saskatoon around that time sired by a very good friend of mine's dog.

I have contacted the owner of the sire and she is very curious to know if this is a puppy from this particular litter.

The breeders you mentioned were part of the original pm that i sent he when the topic first started.

Are you saying that it has already been ruled out that this girl did not come from this kennel?

I didn't see any post in this thread regarding any kennel name - maybe I am missing something.

I don't know if she ruled them out as the breeder but there were about 4 breeders names i gave her.

The name of the kennel is not mentioned because I used Private Messaging to tell her. If I had included it in a post it probably would have been deleted (like your previous post) as addys and phone # of individuals are not permitted on the board.
