ADRK Sieger Show

Anyone going to the "BIG ONE" in August?? I know it's 4 months away, but I am planning my trip now. Most essential item - passport!!:D Anyway, I'm going to visit friends in Germany and will be attending the show.

Anyone know what the verdict is on showing an American bred dog without a tail under FCI rules? Not that I am taking a dog - I am just curious.

:) Hi :)

It is very simple.... When you enter the dog to a VDH show you must write if the dog has a tail or not.... If the dog is docked you must have a paper saying the dog was docked because of medical reasons and send the paper with the entryform - other wise they won´t accept your entry.....

Last year at the KS they wrote on the catalog number you are supposed to wear if your dog was old enough to be docked or if you showed a paper about medical reasons.... If you didn´t have that it was goodbye!!

So the answer to DQ - it is the tail....

We will be there too ;)

Zillas,

How long will you be there? I think I'll stay about 1 1/2 weeks. If you need help showing your dogs I would be more than happy to help (since there is no way to attach a tail to my dog!).

My friends that I will stay with live about an hour from where the show will be.

I look forward to meeting you, and I am very excited about the trip as this will be my first international trip.
