It is important to title a thread with some indication of the topic contained within it. The reason it's important is so the forum features can function properly and for others to have an idea about the topic by reading the title.

Therefore, generic thread titles will no longer be accepted on these forums. Should a member submit a generic thread title such as, please help, please read, help needed, this is important, yada yada yada........this will no longer be acceptable and are subject to removal.

Welcome to the General Rottweiler Forum

This is the forum you use for your general Rottweiler questions that do NOT fit the other categories.

What DOES belong in the General Forum includes but is not limited to

More dog ethics discussions: e.g. docking, spay/neuter, inside outside dogs etc.

Exercising: jogging, swimming, treadmills

Vacation: Dog friendly hotels, boarding kennels, pet sitters

Identifications: chips, tattoos, tags.

The discussion and busting of myths about the Rottweiler as a breed.

What this Forum ISN’t for is as follows:

No pictures (Picture This or Chit chat for those)
No Chit Chat (Chit Chat is where the silly stuff goes)
No introductions (You can set your profile to include your introduction – or take it to Chit Chat)
No non - Rottweiller banter –( again - a Chit Chat topic)


The ONE thing that ALL topics WILL have in common is they are of a General Rottweiler nature, No vacuum cleaners, kitchen tools, hardwood floors, carpet shampooers, or Easter candy.

The issues that fall outside the other Forums and how they relate to Rottweilers.

I receive a tremendous amount of email addressing three situations in particular. "Why can I not change my profile?" Why are my pictures removed and, "Why can I not use private messages?"

Your Profile. Please take a moment to add your intro in your profile. Intro's posted in any of the Rottweiler Categories will be removed.

Posting Pictures. We have two forums below the major Rottweiler Catagory available for posting pictures. Junior Members do not have access to that area. Pictures posted in the any forum for the sake of posting a picture will be removed

Private Messages. There are a number of reasons "new" or "junior" members do not have access to use the private message system. I do not feel the need, nor a reason to go into any detail as to why this restriction is in place. All I can do, is to ask that you understand it is for the well being of the forums.

What exactly does it take to become a member? I do not know of a simpler way to say, your contribution to the breed directly effects your member status. If your intentions are to assist our great breed, you're going to realize the fruits of your efforts in short time. However, if your intentions are not geared towards the betterment of the breed, you're going to find yourself leaving in frustration.
