The Rottweiler Handbook

I have seen a number of postings asking for information about Rottweilers. As many of you know, I've recommended many books in the past, including "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Rottweilers" and "Rottweilers for Dummies", two books with less than appealing titles, but well-worth reading and keeping. However, I just found, and immediately bought, the absolute best written book for every potential or current Rottweiler owner. Trust me, this is it! If you care about your Rottie get it as soon as you can:

The Rottweiler Handbook by Joan Hustace Walker published by Barron's http://www.barronseduc.com/

You have got to buy this book! :)

This HANDBOOK has very valuable information about our beloved breed; from history to selection, to rearing, to training, to nutrition, to everything else you wanted to know about the Rottweiler! It is the most complete reference book concerning Rottweilers. The handbook is easy to understand and it doesn't make you feel like a dummy or an idiot either ;)

If you want a Rottweiler, or you own one already, you have to buy this book. You'll be a better dog owner and your dog will love you for it, trust me

Thanks again German, I've been trying to find another book that's good on the breed. I have the other books you mentioned but still felt I wanted something else, if you know what I mean:) I'll add this to my list as well as the other you recommended in Nutrition. Actually I'm going to the book store tomorrow:D

Well German, couldn't get the books but I ordered them both, this one and the Bone Appetite:D I can't wait bc I'm always looking for more advice and I'm always anxcious to learn new things for my boy:D. As far as I'm concerned you can't have too many books :) I'm very thankful and appreciative for you letting us all know about these books. I hope alot of people here take you up on it, thanks again for caring:). Unfortunately I have to wait 1-2 weeks but I know they're worth waiting for.

I agree with German...This is a great reference...I prefer it over the "Dummy" and "Idiot" books.

WOW, not often do you see someone recommending a book with such a passion, and when it comes from German it's probably worth a try. I will also buy it.

Got the books

Well German, I got the book and it's great:D :D!! I plan on reading it from begin to end but for now I paged through it and read certain parts and found it extremely interesting :). I don't think they missed anything. They even have a whole chapter on adopting an adult rottie, it's just a great book, I urge everyone to buy it :D.

I also got the other one you suggested in the Nutrition section, are you sure those recipes are for canines, LOL:D? Great books, thanks again for bringing it to our attention.
