Rott or mixed?

Hello. I wonder if my 2 month old male puppy is pure or mixed. What do you think?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this. I'm new to the forum. Thank you all in advance.

Re: Rott or mixed?

The pup is probably a purebred. the muzzle is a little snipy, but overall, I am not seeing anything that screams a mix.

Re: Rott or mixed?

Looks pretty purebred to me also. Where did you get him/her from? Does he have papers? But most importantly he is very cute and just love him.

Re: Rott or mixed?

I got him from a BYB, he doesn't have any papers at all. Both his parents looked pretty normal to my untrained eyes, and his father got a pedigree, well, at least that's what I was told by the seller, but you never know...

The reason I'm asking this is because some friends of mine who own Rottweilers tell me he must be a mix since he doesn't have the blocky muzzle you'd expect. Not that would change anything, I already love him no matter what, a great dog indeed :)

Any more opinions?

Re: Rott or mixed?

He's a sweetie that's for sure!
He looks like a poorly bred pure bred....and that's what you get when you buy from a BYB....you never know what you are going to get.

Re: Rott or mixed?

He's adorable! He looks to be a purebred with a bit of a narrow muzzle. My foster is like that, and has some curlier hair down her back. It doesn't make them anything but lovable! He looks like such a character. What did you name him?

Re: Rott or mixed?

Very cute, but he is not a purebred. His face and snout give it away.

Re: Rott or mixed?

I also think the pup is not a purebred. Looks like a rottie-dobe mix or another breed with slightly longer hair.

(Is very cute tho)

Re: Rott or mixed?

I say a poorly bred purebred. Sharess never got the blocky muzzle either. He is adorable.
