| Rotties and snow, what a blast. So do your dogs absolutely LOVE the snow? We have not had any really deep snow here in the hills of Dakota until today, yes May 2, and it finally shows up. I took Dodge out this morning to pee and poop, (after shoving the snow out of the way, I thought I was not gonna be able to open it) I wondered how he was gonna manage but he did, it was actually pretty funny. But he had the BEST time I have ever seen him have. He bounded and lept through the high drifts and tunneled with his nose (I think he was looking for one of his tennis balls) for a very long time. I am hoping the wind quits before dark so I can get the camcorder out there. I would love to have video, but the darn wind is whipping around at about 50 mph and I don't want to ruin my camera. We have had just a few inches here and there, and he loves to nose his ball through the stuff watching it grow. He ran around like a baby puppy, growling, spinning and leaping, and finding the deepest drifts he could so he could try and totally bury himself in it. I know all dogs like the snow, but I have never seen one have this much fun in it. You would think he is a husky or something the way he is acting. sharon |

| Re: Rotties and snow, what a blast. Yes, I wish Nisha would get the chance to play in the snow. Its already almost 90 here ! Maybe someday we will take her on a ski trip with us (I have never seen snow either).

| Re: Rotties and snow, what a blast. Max loves the snow! I'd kick the fluffy stuff up and he'd try to bite it He also loves catching snowballs. Our neighbour has mice problems in his backyard and we have an open invite to go over and play in their backyard after a snowfall to flatten the snow down. Nothing like fresh snow and a happy rottweiler! Reminds me how much fun I had in the snow when I was young. I have to remember to get a pair of snowpants for next year so I can roll around in the snow with him without getting wet!Max had become so used to eliminating on snow that when it started to melt, he'd contort his body to try to get onto that last bit of it. It was too cute!!

| We had over a foot of snow here in Louisville Ky this year. Coco loved it she was 6 months old at the time. Her boyfriend Diesel from next door would come over, he's a black lab thats the same size, and you couldn't get them to stop playing. I've never seen 2 dogs have so much fun. |

| Re: Rotties and snow, what a blast. Buddy absolutely loves the snow but thankfully, it's time for a rest from that stuff. I obviously don't enjoy it as much as he does, although I do enjoy his antics in it. Rommel and my GSD both love it as well.

| Re: Rotties and snow, what a blast. They just L-O-V-E the danged stuff! I'm glad Dodge was able to experience it! Rottie's truly are capable of expressing such pure joy!The girls jump up to catch big floating snowflakes as they come down. Then they shovel with their noses and run up the "snow cleaning bill" by rubbing it all over themselves with the biggest darned grins imaginable. This, of course, leads to ZOOMIES, followed by log dragging. Mine, however, have a specialty! BODY SURFING! My friend's beloved Remington did it and my girls picked it up from him. He would dig his nose in and slide on his back downhill! Since he had bigger hills at his farm, than I do in the city... He'd do it, when we visited, and they copied! Now I , luckily have snow surfers, as well. The "trail" would get slicker, and faster. Believe me! The coats were immaculate after a session of that kind of fun. They actually took turns...like kids! Imagine, 3 Rottie's and a Bordeaux sliding on thier backs downhill on snow. Too funny! My friend would also build them a snowman, originally for Rem, to tear apart. But my girls got in on that act too. And...they NEVER knocked this "kids snowman" down, only their own. Amazing.
