| Re: my puppy did not grow in the last 2 months! at 8.5 months, my pup was only 60lbs. he's almost 9 months now. he had a limp a few months back, and i cut back on the food and exercise for a while. his exercise is basically back to normal, but his food is still only 2.5 or 2.75 cups a day. Everyone says he's small, but in the same breath, he's definitely not skinny. I've got it out of my head for months now about him being the 80-90lbs i thought he would be. i'm on the tip of having the little guy healthy.............it hurt me so much to see him limping which is now gone. i sometimes wonder if i am feeding him enough, but the trainer and vets all say, it couldn't hurt if he skipped a meal here and there. now, i'm not sure where he'll end up in weight, and i'm not even that concerned anymore. does your pup look particularly skinny? just curious, because mine is not skinny at all. he's just small. he does still have his small head though. | Re: my puppy did not grow in the last 2 months! How often are you feeding him? At that age he should be eating twice a day, at least two cups and I wold add cottage cheese, hamburger, some yogurt, some canned salmon, anything to make the meal more appetizing.
