What's a good price to pay

A mix having less medical problems??? I think that is one of those old urban myths....

I've heard it before and I don't think it is true personally. You MAY end up with a perfectly healthy dog, fabulous!! OR alternatively you may end up with genetic problems that are unique to the 2 or more breeds that you pup may consist of.....hard to say.

I think its the same argument that the BYBs try to pass off to people that by crossing for example a lab and a poodle you have a dog that is hypoallergenic, doesn't shed and has the wonderful labrador temperament......well what if you end up with a dog that sheds like a lab, isn't hypoallergenic and has a terrible temperament? There's no guarantee with crosses.

I certainly think that your best best overall would be to stick with a pup from a well regarded breeder who health tests, works/shows their dogs, but certainly you won't be getting a puppy tomorrow.....you'll have to place your name on a waiting list for a breeder.

I don't know if it is ok to post my email address but I wanted you to know I have a friend who is breeding her girl in the next 2 weeks. She has all her health clearences and is a nice female. I have shown her from time to time for her. She is located in Pa. Can someone let me know if it is ok to post my email address? I know the price of her puppies is less than $1500.

Posting of email addresses is a no no on these forums. If the OP wishes to research information and do his homework, there are many ways to hook up with ethical breeders.

What's the name of this female so we can look up all the health certs, and what work and show accomplishments does she have?

what's the name of your friend's business ? or you can google my user name you'll notice I'm a member of multiple Subaru/Honda auto forums , you can PM me your info on one of those forums
