funny things they do

What funny things do your furkids do? One of the many funny things Kaiser does is if I am taking a nap on the couch he will sit about 1/2" away from my face staring at me, I can feel him breathing on my face. As soon as my eyes open look out!! kissing machine. it is so funny because he won't do anything until I open my eyes. Another funny thing is he likes to sit in this little kids chair we have, like a human. butt on the seat and back legs off the ground soooo funny. He makes me laugh every day!!!!!

Every morning and every evening when I leave the kitchen door open for her, Luna sits on the back porch with her butt on the porch and her front feet on the step below. She just sits there looking around, watching the birds and enjoying the breeze, like a grandpa on a porch! She's so content, it's like she's saying "Life is Good" :)

My baby girl Dallas has a running feud with a specific black cat. She runs our the door and dashes for the front right corner of the yard where this cat will be waiting. The cat bows it's back and hisses and spits pawing at her from the other side of the fence while she barks like crazy, but it won't run away. Now here's the really funny part, the whole time this is happening the chihuahua is in the house going nuts "COME ON MOM OUT OF THE WAY! LET ME AT HIM!" The minute I let him loose and the cat seems him coming it takes off like a shot????? This cat has issues Dallas is 9 months about 75 80 pounds, the chi a whopping 7 go figure. The other thing that proves that dogs are just like 3 year olds. My daughter (3) and Dallas run in circles around the coffee table for as long as I let them. They never catch each other and they never get tired. My daughter laughs her head off the whole time and Dallas seems to be smiling :) :) :) Can you tell I'm a proud Mom ;)

Well lets see, where to start?

Pandora enjoys blowing bubbles in her water bowl and then setting her dripping wet snout in you lap.
I've built a little bench in the basement for Pandora and Sedona so they can watch me play pool, but instead they spend hours staring into the basement window well that has about 30-40 frogs and toads living in there. They will sit there kissing the froggies up against the window. Pandora will get really excited if you start pointing out the frogs to her.

Whenever we go for a walk, before I even get the collars out, I crawl up to Pandora and whisper into her ear, "Do you wanna go for a walk?" She will immediately answer with "Ruff!!!" Although I usually only get to say "Do you wa..." and its "Ruff" and off to the door with her

When it is time to go out I'll ask Sedona if she wants to go out and she will sometimes do this happy dance where her head goes all over, up and down, left and right, and then she will drop into a crouch and wait to go out.

That's about all for now.

Zane has become friends with most of the other officers at the PD except for the Chief (to my dismay). When we stop in the PD on shift and he sees someone drinking from the water fountain he stands behind them patiently waiting for his turn (he does have a bowl of his own that is spill proof and always filled in the patrol car). The officers will hold the button to allow him to drink and he laps at the water....the Chief has tried this and Zane will jump up.....look at the water (you can tell he really wants a drink too) then look at the Chief with this funny expression on his face then jump down and walk away...leaving the Chief holding the button:) He definitely does not "brown nose" when it comes to the Chief.

Another thing he loves to do is run to the evidence locker and scratch like a "mad man" at the door (indicating he detects narcotics inside - considering this is where we store all our evidence (alotta controlled substances) it's kinda "cheap" of him). Then he looks for his reward for his "find"....well, I stopped rewarding him with his toy reward and began praising him because like I said....it's kinda cheap of him.....He runs to another room where we keep stuffed animals for children involved in accidents/domestic abuse cases and rummages through the bag until he finds the one he wants. He'll come trotting out, throwing his reward up in the air as if to say "to heck with you....I'll get my own". The other officers will play with him and throw the toy around for him and he'll retrieve. Unless of course the Chief picks it up and throws it - he does that weird look thing at him and lays down:)

Let's see. My two rotties love baths and when I scratch their back with my fingers to get the dog shampoo into their coat really good they start wiggling their rear ends back and forth in a dance.

Geez! With 7 Rottweilers (and a Dachshund) there are too many things to name. They do all of the things mentioned (and more) except for the evidence locker stuff - I'm no longer with the PD, so I don't have an evidence locker:). They don't do the jumping off the bed thing, either because I allow them on there. I love to watch them blowing bubbles in the water! Oh, and they don't do the cat thing because I don't have a kitty, but they love Einstein, our Chinchilla.

You can read about the latest things Gunner has done in Chit Chat under Gun's Big Adventure. Gunner is our wild child and will try just about anything! He's awesome!

Atticus can pretty much be considered a clown!!:D
I think the funniest thing he does though happens to be one of the sweetest.

He PETS the cat!!!! (or at least she thinks that is what he is doing anyway..........);) Now, you have to understand, our cat is not your ordinary cat. She is free to go in and out whenever she wants, she keeps the dogs in line, and all in all, she truely believes that she is a dog.

When she is in the mood to allow the dogs near her, she will walk up to them and put her head down, at which point, they will pet her on the head with their nose. It is so funny to watch this because Atti is so gentle about it. And when she has had her fill, she struts off and leaves him laying there!!

Another good one is when you scratch him right above his nub, he lifts his head up and starts licking the air. It's helarious!:D

My 9 month old Apollo LOVES the "Swiffer", you know that cleaning tool for floors? He must think it's a toy just for him b/c he goes crazy whenever I use it! He jumps around, play bows, chases it, etc. It's hilarious! I should buy a video camera and send it in to Animal Planet's Funniest Pets. Needless to say, it makes cleaning the floors a little harder, but more fun! :D

I don't know why I started this, but I used to say to the dogs:
"I have one question for you. Do you want to go for a walk?"
Now all I have to say is "I" and they go crazy.
The other day I had just seen a movie about Patsy Cline and so I was singing "I fall to pieces" around the house and couldn't understand why all the dogs were following me with hopeful looks...finally figured out that they were responding to the "I" in the song!
