Registration/insurance In Portugal

Hi I have a 7 month old male Rot called JT and he is the best. We live in Portugal and apparently you can only register a dog 'after 6 months old but only in the month of July and unfortunately he wasnt old enough to register during July, so i will have to wait until next July to register him and im worried that by that time he may have done something wrong like chew someones toy or just generally be a baby Rot. Ive been told that under Portuguese law if he was to do anything wrong that he would/could be taken away from me if not registered and have special insurance (cos he is such a dangerous soppy dog!!!!!!) Does anyone know anything about this or could advise please, Cos i never want to lose him. Thanks in advance.
