Birthday cake/cookie????

Raider will be turning a year old in a couple of weeks, and I wanted to get him a birthday cake/cookie to celebrate. Does anyone know where in Southern California or online that I can purchase one for him? I want it to be made specially for dogs so he doesn't get sick.

Thanks,

Kelly

I don't know of a local source, but I'm sure you could order online from The Fuzzy Butts Bakery in Brooklyn, NY - they have some great stuff!

i've never tried them, but i've visited several of their bakeries: Three Dog Bakery - All Natural & Oven Baked. a doggie boutique w/ in-house bakery shouldn't be too hard to find in the LA area!

Re: Birthday cake/cookie????

Having done loads of Birthdays (3 dogs) every year:
Most popular...
Liverwurst and Vanilla ice cream and 2 small designer biscuits from the Houndstooth Barkery and Boutique!
Home made Tuna Brownies with vanilla drizzle
Banana Snaps and Frozen vanilla Yogurt*
Of course all three had the same portion as the birthday dog to celebrate with them! Have recipes for Tuna Brownies and Banana Snaps... let me know.

Re: Birthday cake/cookie????

One of mine just had a birthday....I made him a small meatloaf cake with cottage cheese icing and cheese and bacon sprinkles i feed raw so the meatloaf was uncooked...but you can bake one in the oven and ice it after it cools a bit.....

Re: Birthday cake/cookie????

I always bake a carrot cake with cream cheese icing for the dogs birthdays.
They each get a slice of cake, and we get to enjoy the rest of the cake.

Re: Birthday cake/cookie????

Daisy's had SIX birthday cakes: all were a small (one pound) meatloaf frosted with mashed potatoes and decorated with carrot slices and green beans.

My Duncan will be 10 next month. This is what I decided to do for his birthday cake. I figured that carrot cake was not too bad for dogs and is pretty tasty for the humans too. I will see if my local bakery can put his picture on the cake too.
