Oh...geez...the APR is used for puppy mills and back yard breeders.
For breeders that have been kicked out of the AKC for some violation.

Where did you get your pup from? Does your breeder show his/her dogs? Did they have any titles? Did the sire or dam have OFA numbers?

Re: AKC- Americas pet registry

im sure hes a byb, now trying to sell me another dog.this one a sire thats 5 yrs old. Im happy with the pup i got from him, but i wont take the other one because i dont want a dog that i haven't raised and known since a baby. I never doubt her and i dont think she would ever bite me. i dont want to chance that with a grown dog, especially 150 lbs worth. Anyway, dont know much about the parents, bf checked all that out, i just went and picked her out afterwards. Will i still be able to show her? I already decided to have her fixed as she is just a pet, "MY BIG BABY" and she is just like a kid to me. I dont have any other family.

Re: AKC- Americas pet registry

you can spay her, apply for an AKC ILP number and then you may compete in all the AKC companion events (agility, obedience, rally, tracking etc) but not in conformation
