Re: toys

Only things that last around here are Jolly Balls and Cuz's and Hollee Balls. Though let me tell you that the Cuz can make you want to kill after listening to it squeek for hours on end. LOL!! But the Cuz's are tough and he doesn't destroy them and he loves them. His jolly balls are probably his favorite and I've had his medium sized one for over a year and he's just punctured it. His large is going strong still. We've tried the Invinci-Chains, Tire Biters, fire hose toys that are suppossed to be super tough, and a bunch of other so called "tough" toys and well they lasted about 5 minutes each.

He gets lots of raw buffalo bones that I give to him frozen. The things are enormous and keep him knawing for hours.

Re: toys

They both LOVE the cuz but neither had interest in the jolly ball or treat ball. They also have no interest in the nylabone, just the cuz. I got a med. size cuz for my daughters beagle pup, he ate one of the feet off in just a couple minutes, guess I should have gotten him the large - lol.

Did you get the jolly ball with the rope through the middle? Oscar loves those one.

Re: toys

OMG the Cuz chorus! It's strange one likes it the other doesn't as much. My kids joke Zena carries her bad cuz around(mostly at night lol) they call it her buddy. All I have to say is wheres your buddy and Z will go find it and squeak away! I haven't had much luck with rope toys...stuffed toys are great for five minutes of entertainment(mine don't clean up either!)...I resorted to cutting long strips of fleece from the fabric store and tieing it it to all shapes and knot formations(balloon animals..doggie style) they have a great time and unlike the rope they don't eat it...Tina

Re: toys

Ruger was afraid of his kiddie pool at first. His friends came over to play with him (children) and jumped into the pool. When Ruger saw the fun they were having he jumped in and has loved it ever since. At first he thought it was the greatest water dish he ever saw. Be patient and try to get some kids over to splash around in it.

Re: toys

There are kids who get in the pool. Dozer just don't seem to like water at all. Every time he sees the hose in someone hand he hides. Sadie when she sees the hose gets all excited she loves to be hosed off.

Re: toys

I'm still looking for the bright orange squeeky ball I bought Maggie when I first got her. She won't let me know where it is - and I suspect the squeeking drove HER nuts! Right now, she has two sticks that she loves - one is shaped like a bomerang and the other she has been able to strip off the bark - her little teeth marks are all over it. She only plays with it when I throw it and we play the silly game of me pretending to want it, while she runs all over the place getting away. She then rolls in the grass on her back with it in her mouth and she does the whole wiggle jiggle. If I stop looking or turn around, she stops playing and leaves it whereever she is. So, it appears that her favourite toy is only her favourite if I am playing too!

Re: toys

Lola loves the hide a squirrel puzzle! I sit with her and keep stuffing the squirrels back in, it lasts awhile because she is very gentle with it and I only let her have it once in awhile, she also LOVES her everlasting treat ball,

Amazon.com: Everlasting Treat Ball - Large: Kitchen & Housewares

she just chews on it forever and the treats are pretty in expensive to replace, come in different flavors and last a long time, I have heard of dogs being able to pop the treats out but Lola never has, I actually need a screw driver to pry them in. She loves this toy, she carries it to her bed and sleeps with it everynight

Re: toys

Arwen also loves her everlasting treat ball. She was able to get the treats out but only after they were very thin rings with a hole in the middle big enough to get her jaw in. It will last about 2 days if you don't let her have it in the crate (about 10 hour chew/lick time), the treats were 4.99 or 5.99 through KV Vet supply. The BBQ stained the carpet a bit in a spot it sat overnight, but we got it out with natures miracle.

Re: toys

After I went and stood in the kiddy pool Sadie came in with. Dozer still hasn't gotten in yet but he did put he feet on the side of it when I was standing in it.
