Re: house insurance

Blatt Mom - not sure if you've done a search on "insurance" here - but this gets lots of discussion - I have State Farm - they do not have breed restrictions. I'm not sure of your home state, as I don't recognize the place on your profile.....but i can tell you that many companies do have breed bans so be sure you do your homework. "not disclosing" a rottie doesn't protect you, because if they find out, or you have a claim, they will cancel/non-renew you and you will be in a major bind then. Good luck!

Re: house insurance

State Farm is great no breed bans. It's the insurance company I use for cars and homeowners. Not only that but I've never had any problems with putting claims in or payouts on my cars when i needed them.

Re: house insurance

I have state farm as well and no restrictions here, I was always wondering on the beware of dog sign, some people say its telling people that your dog may bite, others say its a warning so they dont get bit, I have 3 of them, one at my front door, one on the garage and one at the basement door, Ups men just drop packages on my door, knock and leave unless I have to sign for it,

The only thing State farm asked when I got insurance on my first home was if my dogs had a bite history

Re: house insurance

dont use a beware of dog sign, instead get one that says dog on premises or something of that nature. should your dog bite anyone a beware of dog sign can be used against you (saying you knew your dog was dangerous)
