Re: house insurance

Jakesfostermom, good suggestion. SF w/carry us with exclusion on only 1 dog. Have not given up hope yet. Still working w/Country & Farmers agent.
Fostermom, Will try Amica tomorrow. I have some slow responses and alot of leg work follow up. Left message for Geico. Found out today the claim is under V & MM. Vandalism & Malicious mischief. Don't understand one bit but, insurance is not necessarily to understand. Thanks one and all for continued support & all the great leads/info!

Don't waste anymore of your time on Geico - they have breed restrictions in place on a national level - this I know first hand from being the adoptions coordinator for a rottweiler rescue group. As soon as they hear rottweiler, your call will be over

Re: house insurance

I have Hochheim Prairie and they do not exclude Rotts. I have three Rotts and the insurance company is okay with them.

Re: house insurance

I am sorry but I DO NOT know of ANY insurance company that will issue a policy if you have a dog with a bite history. Which you now have

NEVER allow anyone to reach over your fence that is asking for trouble. As you found out

In NH posting beware of dog signs indicates that you know your dog WILL bite and insurance companies look for them!

Re: house insurance

Yes, we know and signs were posted as stated before.
We think it was set up and hope things will work out for us due to this is a rescue dog that was probably beaten & etc.
Thanks again for everything,
blatt mom

Re: house insurance

I'm in Mundelein and have one Rottweiler myself. I've been thinking of buying a duplex in Kenosha, WI. I would probably need a good insurance for this. I hope that things work out here.
