Talking How much exercise for 3 months?

I was wondering what the average exercise schedule most of you have had with a 3 month old? Gypsy loves walks I try and get in 1 per day for about 15-20 minute sometimes more if we are at the park, I was wondering if this is enough or maybe does she need more.. If I know I cant walk the neighborhood I will go to the park and walk her. Since School is out we are always going place and Gypsy goes with us.. If we are out I usually make a pit stop at a local pet store so she can meet people and pets, even if I dont plan on buying things

A pup that young doesn't need too much walking...but it would be better to get her out for several short walks per day than one long one.

Re: How much exercise for 3 months?

With Serena we did 15 minutes in the Am and 15 Minutes in the PM. We're now up to 30-45 minutes. I'm trying to lose 30lbs. One of the reasons I wanted a dog was to have a walking partner. As she gets older and I get thinner, we'll walk more. I try to increase the walk by 5 minutes every other week.

Re: How much exercise for 3 months?

Minimum exercise -vs- just playtime. Take the pup out to play numerous times in a day, have it follow you around while you garden or to get the mail....this will provide a varied and valuable form to exercise.

Re: How much exercise for 3 months?

I have heard that their exercise doesn't necassarily come in the form of walks but playing. Bob has a good Idea of letting the pup follow you around and you have to take him/her out lots anyway at three months anyways. Exercise can be as simple as chasing a ball around or playing with a crackling toy. The more senses the pupu uses the more worn out he/she will be too. So forgo the long walks and poop out your little guy or girl with good old fashioned fun! (make sure you supervise play closelyat all times-especially with toys)
