Only you and your family know what is achieveable on the money you have, so you will have to make your own decision. You are right to put your human family first.

However, it may be possible to do your best for your family and dogs. You may struggle to get over the rehoming of your dog, but often dogs adapt remarkably quickly to a new loving home. I recommend you contact the Rottweiler Welfare Association and explain your situation. They specialise in rehoming Rottweilers (my Mum has just taken on a lovely 3 year old bitch from them)and will be able to offer you advice and support. The good news is that a dog with a good history will be easier for them to rehome than a 'problem' dog or a stray with no records.
