Re: working rottie

Simply depends what you're interested in, and how his drives are. You can check out obedience, tracking, herding and agility. You can start training any time, just be sure to keep it light and fun!

What are you interested in? If it's obedience, agility, or tracking, check out Capital Dog Training Club in Silver Spring, www.cdtc.org

Re: working rottie

I am a member of Capital. We are starting a new session of agility classes in January, but there may be a waiting list, so call the number listed for Shirley on the website to get on the list. Hope to see you there!

Re: working rottie

Agility is a blast, you'll love it. Up here, most places require a basic obedience course before you can start agility. This way you'll have a head start on the start line stays, as well as have a more ruly dog in class.

Re: working rottie

Yup, we do require a Basic obedience class before you can start agility. Also, we have a "test-in" to check that dogs are not aggressive towards people and other dogs since there will be some off-leash stuff.
