Fleece ones are strong, and they like them. THe rope kinds are good too.

Gretchen...loooked at their selection and they have a lot!...do any of your dogs play tug together? Any recommendations? That's the boys favorite game to play with each other. Thanks.

CR has TONS of great toys b/c agility is so focused on being fun and motivating dogs.

The two things I have found that hold up best to multiple dogs tugging are the hollee roller balls (our big blue one had FOUR Rottweilers tugging on it the other night), and the nylon-cloth type frisbees with a black rubbery rim around htem......tough dog maybe?? I'll have to go find one and see who makes it.

Thanks...my dodos don't tug with their hollee roller, instead they prefer to try and tug with their cuz or a nylabone or the best the jolly ball with the rope in it that one tries to catch while the other flings it around ....yes sometimes they will actually use a rope. My little pet store I think has the nylon cloth frisbee you're talking about. I'll check tomorrow. She carries tough toys for the boys.

I find big rope toys to be really strong.
Troy plays a lot with the Retriever-Mix next door. Their favorite toy is a three-knot-rope toy and it is holding up pretty nicely (although it looks like an extremly nasty slime-alien by now).

The hollee rollers get tugged on when I toss them........one dog fetches, 2 or 3 others then "assume the position," stalk and pounce upon the one with the ball. I started out with a smaller red one but it doesn't hold more than 2 Rottweilers very easily, so I upgraded to the nice blue one.......it does hold 4 adults.

The undersides of the frisbees that I'm thinking of are yellow, the tops are dark (navy blue) and it has an edge/ridge to it that is more tough nylon fabric. It's flexible, and again, multiple dogs end up bringing it back to me, often tugging with each other on the way back.

Yes, apparently our Jolly ball, the one with the handle....can only make it back to me with the help of two dogs....I'll have to try tossing the Hollee roller to the two headed rott monster. And thanks for the description, it sounds familiar...I'll see what she has tomorrow...I'm out of marrow bones and it's a nice walk up there for the boys and she gets upset when I don't bring them.

The same company that makes the hollee roller ball also makes a set of interlocking rings out of the same type of material that have held up well for me. Rocco loves to tug with them and he and Perle put it through a work-out!

How many rings is it Patty? I'm looking at something called invincible chain, and it's two rings.

Here's the frisbee I was thinking of: Ruffwear's hovercraft
http://www.ruffwear.com/s.nl/sc.2/ca...it.A/id.752/.f

It's not a true tug toy, but the dogs do tug on it and it's held up well. Ropes and rubber-stretchy toys seem to be fun tug toys when they feel the need to tug amongst themselves, but more often, they prefer to tease each other with "I have the ball, come get me."
