That's the one - one ring is blue, the other black. At least that's what mine is.

They also make one, by the same company, that has three interlocking rings as well. I just bought it for Julius the other day.

This folks http://www.axxent.ca/~crasher/ make some of the best tugs I've ever seen. I've had a long braid fun fur one now for a few years. (NOT real fur! They don't last long.) It lived thru multiple years and multiple dogs in flyball. They're washable too. Only downside to this guy is he doesn't take credit. Oh wait...maybe that is a GOOD thing!

When my pups were small, I bought the largest diameter rope from the boating supply and cut it to different lengths and tied knots in it. Still have some pieces. That way you can make your tugs as long or short as you like. (if you've got one of those "move up the tug" dogs, the longer ones sure save your knuckles). When they were babies, I had a really long one that could accomodate any number of dogs/pups and laughed myself silly when I watched 3 pups truss their mother up as they were all have a good romp. She always enjoyed their games. Of course, she just stepped out of it when she wanted, but it was fun to watch them one on each end and one in the middle circle around her with their wonderful toy

I have also bought some rope from a boat store ...although I never had the pleasure like Judi did. DH is wondering what I am laughing about. But my boys love it and it lasts so long.

Still wondering how Judi did not get tied up though....

Thanks Judi...we have been trying to find a good rope supplier as buying rope tugs from the pet store is too expensive and Tank tends to end up "eating" or unbraiding the rope eventually. So, living by the ocean....to the boat suppliers we go.
I will say, Petco did have a tug toy that looked intriguing, but we knew someone would get knocked out....all made out of rope with a rope ball in the center about the size of a basketball with rope tug on either end...but the weight of the thing, we could just imagine the wreckage if that thing got swinging
(poor Jake is shake impaired...his shaking is more along the lines of an elephant swinging a trunk...slow motion....he gets out of the way when Tank gets going )

I was watching out the window. This was when the pups were little bitty guys before old enough to leave home. I love to spy and watch the dynamics when I am not there to influence or distract.

I might just have an odd dog, but my rott always chews up the rope-toys FAST! And then I am picking up pieces of rope every where... a big mess really. So we have chosen to stay away anything that involves rope. We have gone threw ALOT of toys, and my dog always finds ways of chewing them up! One toy that has lasted almost a year and still going is a big rubber tire (made for dogs) that I got at the pet store. It is quite heavy and believe me doesn't feel go when she hits you with it... Also wondering, my dog loves balls...has any one tried that "The Almost Indestructible Ball" . I think Petsmart carries it. Was wondering about getting it. We have been buying her soccer balls weekly...because she pops them. Despite being popped, she still plays with it.

We found the Invincible chain at Target, one ring is blue, one red...just like the boys' collars They LOVE it. We did however resist buying the pink fleece dog sweater....
I couldn't believe the designer foo foo doggie section they had at Target ....blech.

Thanks for the replies i went out and bought the tug rope and me and two of my dogs just had a great time . I would hold one end while one of the dogs tugged on the other end . Then i would let the other dog play tug some then i just watched them play tug with each other. I have a picture of my rottie posted on in the gallery it's durango and my son. This was taken last july.
