Re: kennel club???

It's not a simple process if you are thinking about an AKC club. Here is a link to the sight that shows the steps involved:

Re: kennel club???

Is this Jordan the country? If you are just thinking about a group of people who train together you can go ahead and start one yourself. Get any friends with dogs, pick a place to meet and go from there.

Smile Re: kennel club???

My ex-husband was from Nablus, but he had a house in Jordan and from what he told me, there aren't TOO many people who REALLy appreciate dogs like we do over here....(But hopefully things have changed?)I would start by seeing how many people you could get together who would be interested and go from there...maybe put out a survey or advertisement of some sort...??

Re: kennel club???

Are you in Amman? I'm guessing that you are more likely to find a club ar get people who would like to be in a club when you are in a big city. Check into the international community or universities. There may be people there who have brought their pets with them that would like to get into a club.
I know that in the suburbs of Lebanon most of the dogs are used as hunting dogs rather than pets. It's just the nature of the society.

Re: kennel club???

yes i am in Amman and im with you guys alot of people her think of dogs as guardians or hunters but there are people who realy love there dogs and want to enjoy it. but the problem that there are no any laws regardind the dogs.
you cant find good breeders all the breeders here are BYBs and most of the trainers work with them for a percentage and thats very sad. me and my friends are trying to change that, thats why i asked what does it take to start a club? we think its the best way to start.
