Smile Muttluk Time!

Okay - so we're getting ready for the traditional sulking, high stepping and freezing on our walks because of .... MUTTLUKS!!

I know he needs them. There's a lot of salt in my neighbourhood. Plus, now that we're also working outside, the extreme cold is just too much (In SAR, people can get lost in any weather, so they have to learn to work in any weather).

But that's not going to stop the sulking. Anyone else go through this every year?

I watched the neighbourhood Bichon with his today, refused to walk then finally gave in and hopped away on 3 paws with the right front held high in the air. I know it's a Bichon, but I'm not looking forward to my turn! LOL

Re: Muttluk Time!

Yup, we went through it last year, Trish & I'm sure that this year will be no different. Our neighborhood also has a lot of salt & Julius doesn't mind them after a few minutes.

Julius does his "God, I cannot move" for about 3 minutes & then that proceeds into his high-stepping. It's actually pretty amusing to watch.

I feel your pain, Trish. We put them on Julius last winter at this park that we go to. There was a woman there with a Cocker Spaniel & here is Julius doing his high-prancin' walk. She just started laughing & said, "Oooooooh! Fancy!" We are out & about so much with Jules though & I do love the Muttluks! They work wonderfully!

Re: Muttluk Time!

Brodie has to wear booties INSIDE whenever we go up to my parents. About 3-4 months ago they replaced their 20+ year old wood floors with new ones and my mom doesn't want the dogs scratching them. So all dogs must wear booties in the house. Although when it is just Brodie we get away with no booties alot since he's not running around the house like he does when Cassie or Harley are there.

Last weekend my niece asked why they still needed to wear the booties since the floors aren't that new anymore.LOL

Jaime

Oh yeah, point of this post is Brodie is quite used to wearing his booties!!
