Dog Run Size

Any suggestions out there on what size of dog run i should be putting up for 1 12 month old male ?

I guess it would depend on how much of the day the dog is spending in the run. My run is 18x30, my dogs use it for a bathroom break and spend most of the time in the house.

Mine is just under 3 meters wide by 6 meters long. Blaze follows the sun's movement and just sleeps in there and hangs out. Doesn't play or anything in there. Most dogs don't need it for running around in if the handler/master/owner exercises the dog enough!

Our kennels are the 6' X 10' kind. They are not used as a place of exercise but a way to contain the dogs and let them get some fresh air.

My girls enjoy playing. Yes, they will play, wrestle, chase, tag, tug...it's healthy! I'm glad. (Perhaps the difference is more than one?) And they certainly get enough exercise. I average 2-4 miles/day with them. They funny thing about exercise is the more you do the more they are capable of, and want sometimes.

If my dogs are out, I'm home! Or someone else is. In nicer weather we are often out as well. They want to be with us, as is normal for Rottweilers.
