Nose is changing colors

We have recently noticed that Diesel's nose has a brown pigment straight down the center. It's actually on his nose, not above it. Anyone know what might be causing this? We joke and say he has licked off the black (he's an OBSESSIVE licker!).

Re: Nose is changing colors

It is called a "snow nose" and does happen with some dogs. The black will come back next summer. And No, there's nothing you can do about it. There are millions of theories and lots of suggestions as to what to do, but none of them work.

Re: Nose is changing colors

Bea's does that within days of getting her Rabies vaccination. Last time I thought it was a coincidence, but this time I watched and TWO days after her vax it was well on it's way to gone.

It comes back though and at least now we have 3 years before she needs another booster
