Another silly question about color markings..

Im just full of them today! Ive noticed like rotties pics; baby and adult..what Im wondering is how in the world the black face marking spread all the way back to the rest leaving like a lil' brown spot on each side..in some pictures the adult doesnt even look in anyway the same as it pup picture. Do some rotties brown markings get darker as they grow too? Thanks

I found that Diesel's got darker and they aren't as defined anymore, so i guess you could say the markings fade a little compared to when they're a pup! But they're still adorable!

Oh quite diffinately their faces fill in with more black. The brown, tan, mahogony deepens and often the cheek spot separates from the muzzle markings. Tho I have seen some that remain one piece.

Oh faces, in particular, change. Colors deepen and black expands. It's quite interesting to watch particularly, if it's you'r first Rottie.

Zeus' markings are completely different then he was when he was a puppy. He has less tan markings anad his tan markings have gotten a lot darker. The tan triangles on his chest are so dark you cant see them anymore unless you really look for them. The black on his legs have gotten longer and go all the way to his toes. None of thoese were like that when he was a little puppy

In my experience the brown stays the same while the dogs gets bigger the black grows around the brown making it look as if the brown is getting smaller. In reality, the brown stays the same while the rest of the dog becomes larger.

Thanks for everyones responses on this post. The changes they go through just amazes me They grow sooo VERY fast, and there appearences change more than any dog Ive ever seen, Its just lovely!
