How Many Collars, For What?

Hi all,

I was going through Parker's things and had noticed how many different collars he has. I don't count the ones he's out grown

He has:

- Nylon Snap On collar with his name and my phone number embroidered on it with his dog tags.
- Silver show collar (choke)
- Regular choke
- Prong
- Micro Prong (on order)
- Curogan Fur Saver (on order)

He's got more collars than I've got shoes!! LOL

What does your dog have a lot of that surprises you?

Re: How Many Collars, For What?

Rocco has: Prong, leather, choke, nylon. Never use the leather one. Only use the nylon one on rare occasions when I have to put him on his yard lead if I'm not out with him (due to laundry or whatever). Prong is for walks, choke is for class.

Perle has: choke, nylon. Again, nylon is only used for outside if I can't be right there. Choke for walks.

I'm ordering them both fur savers.

Re: How Many Collars, For What?

FUR!!!!!!!!! In every nook and cranny of the house!

Seriously, the furkids are not spoiled. Chase has 3 collars, Missy has 2. Missy has 1 squeaky toy, but I will be getting her a new one this weekend as the squeaker has stopped working. I do have about a dozen old bones in a basket on the freezer though. If I put them right into the trash, Missy waits until my back is turned and gets them back out.

Cyrus just has a few collars:

Red rolled leather
micro prong for training
Red nylon - the collar he came with...a keepsake

Leashes: red leather 4 ft, red nylon 6 foot, red nylon 20 ft, black nylon 30 ft. and a black nylon short.

But what he has the most of:

FUR!!!!! Tons and tons of long black fur that is everywhere! And marrow bones. My freezer is full of marrow bones for my Fluffboy.

Re: How Many Collars, For What?

Hmmmm, Julius has about 3-4 collars.

BUT....

He has an insane amount of Nylabones.

Wishbone, turkey leg, Galelio, regular, tire shaped, ring shaped, etc.

You name it & he's got it. He has this weird rotation going where one will become his favorite for awhile. And then he'll munch on another for about a week....

Re: How Many Collars, For What?

I have every single collar from my Jager that he has ever used.

9 chokers (from the royal blue one as a puppy all the way up to the one he uses now)
5 nylon
2 leather (1 spike 1 plain with his name engraved)
~*I just love Royal blue collars on Rotties*~

I have saved them and Winnie has used several of them as well. Heck, I've even kept some of Jager's and Winnie's baby teeth.

People look at me strange when I tell them that I've got some of their baby teeth. I have a memory book made for all of my Rotts..baby teeth and all! Think I need a human child?

Re: How Many Collars, For What?

Be careful with those snap collars.....the plastic can get brittle and snap off. I would never trust them on any dog, I'm a buckle girl.
