stiff shoulder

:( Hi there people
My 9 month old rottweiler male seems to get sore or stiff after i run him hard in the yard. About a month ago he was limping in the front left shoulder i took him to the vet and he pushed the dogs shoulder up and the dog wanted to bite him. he said maybe it was just growing pains. I waited to go back and the limp went away now he doesnt limp untill i really run him hard. and sometimes is stiff when he wakes up?
Any info would be great thank you

Re: stiff shoulder

Perhaps you should quit running him "really hard"? If he has an injury it is not getting time to completely heal. If he has an elbow problem, you can be aggravating damage. Growing pains is not a diagnosis. I'll bet the vet did advise you to let it rest however.
