Super Barker-Free from Sharper Image

I just purchased this Super Barker-Free from Sharper Image (its suppose to let out a inaudible ultrasonic frequencies or a lower audible tone when the dogs bark) in hopes to stop my dogs from barking at the neighbors dogs on the fence line. Has anyone had any positive or negative feedback on this product.

Thanks
Patty

Re: Super Barker-Free from Sharper Image

The unit I had wasn't from Sharper Image, but it did the same thing. It did work and worked well. The only problem is if it is too sensitive and reacts to loud noises other than the barking, that can be very confusing for the dog.

I've never tried that specific product, but most things that claim to produce "inaudible ultrasonic frequencies" I can hear and they drive me crazy! Have you tried it? Might drive you crazy too.

No, I haven't tried mine yet. I just bought on my lunch hour today. Wanted to get people's feedback on their experiences with this before I installed it.

I've never thought of putting a collar on a dog as an "installation". :D

There is no collar involved. It is a Detachable cone amplifier directs ultrasound toward the barking dog. :D

Re: Super Barker-Free from Sharper Image

One of my parents friends got a dog from the pound, and the owners before them had used one of those on the dog. The dog taught its self to bark a a tone lower than what sets of the frequency. The new owners arent using the device, but the dog still wont bark loudly...it sounds hoarse...
